Form Volumes, a leader in virtual production and immersive content creation, is thrilled to announce its participation in this year’s SIGGRAPH Conference in Vancouver, Canada, taking place August 10–14, 2025Form Volumes will be supporting Puget Systems, Booth #507s to debut a powerful, interactive activation that puts the tools of performance-driven storytelling directly into the hands of attendees.

The Experience: A Virtual Rage Room

The activation invites SIGGRAPH attendees to step inside a “Virtual Rage Room” where markerless motion capture technology by Captury will track body movements without the need for physical markers or suits, allowing attendees to move freely in the activation while their motions are captured in real time. In addition to their body movements, they will also be handed a foam bat embedded with IR markers, allowing the system to fully track their prop interaction in real time. Participants will then have 15 seconds to swing away at digital objects in a gamified “rage room” environment—an energetic and highly shareable moment of full-performance capture, all powered by an integrated suite of high-end tools, including:

  • Markerless motion capture by Captury—no reflective suits or dots required
  • Full-body and prop tracking via a truss-mounted OptiTrack camera array using Motive software.
  • Real-time facial tracking
  • LED visualization through Unilumin’s all-in-one wall systems, supplied by Form Volumes
  • Real-time rendering in Unreal Engine
  • Lightning-fast media handling with Puget Systems’ high-performance workstations
  • Cloud integration to deliver instant shareable content.

The Output: Instant Content, Ready to Share

This is where the magic of automation and integration takes over:

  • In real time, footage is composited, audio mixed, and branded with a custom outro card.
  • The finished clip is immediately pushed to iPads at the booth via cloud sync.
  • Scan a QR code, download the video, and walk away with a personalized digital memento.

It’s an experience that’s equal parts spectacle, workflow demo, and marketing gold.Behind the scenes, a robust network of systems power the activation, including:

  • Puget Systems – Custom workstations optimized for real-time production
  • Form Volumes – Technical integration of all virtual production, real-time capabilities
  • OptiTrack – World-class motion capture systems
  • Captury – Markerless mocap for body tracking
  • District Cinema – Immersive virtual production research & development
  • Unilumin – LED display and spatial integration
  • Motive / OBS / Unreal Engine / Cloud – Full media pipeline from capture to delivery

“This is where creativity meets technology, and we’re excited to share space with Puget to give the community a hands-on glimpse into the future of real-time content creation,”
said Shawn Herold, President of Form Volumes.

Form Volumes continues to pioneer visual storytelling through LED volume production, performance capture, and real-time rendering. Their activation at SIGGRAPH is not just a demo—it’s an invitation to imagine what’s next for digital-first, performance-driven content.
